The seloc manual for that vintage is pretty good. I could only find two real brain-dead entries: <br />1) Honing cylinder walls - "The best cross-hatch pattern is obtained using a stroke rate of 30 complete cycles per minute." with no mention on hone RPM's or crosshatch angle.<br />2) Break in - "Mix gasoline and oil during the breakin period, total of 10 hours, at a ratio of 50:1". Many engines covered in that manual are listed as 24:1 mix. I guess it would wear in faster though.
