I was referred to the Clymer manual by Roscoe who seems to know his stuff, however , I don't. I am just wondering which manual is going to get the job at hand through to me in simplest terms. I priced both on Amozon.com, Seloc $ 38.95 and Clymer $ 29 even. The price difference does not bother me if one is that much more detailed and helpful than the other.
( especially if the cheaper one is better )

I am just curious, Thanks in advance.

Re: Seloc vs. Clymer repair manual

I like the Clymer manual for several reasons, better pictures, more detail about the different model variations of Force motors, easier to understand, better organized, and more detailed instructions.

I have both.
The Seloc is good for some motors, like Evinrudes, but their Force manual is not so good, and I have found several errors.
I also have a few factory service manuals, which are good for certain things, but assume you know quite a bit.

Re: Seloc vs. Clymer repair manual

HI NC I have used both, I like them both, but the new seloc for my omc cobra has easy, med, hard or skilled level before each section, to let me know what i need to be doing with my tools or if a tech needs to do it. but if your like me i like to jump in with both feet. thats how you get the skills, and realy can't afford a tech. And they cover everything even parts from there online version. hope i helped Good day and God bless!! GP
