This is probably a dumb question(as I am guessing they are about the same)but does anyone know which company puts out a better I/O engine manual for a Volvo Penta (Seloc or Clymer?) Which one covers more?

I prefer Clymer's manual. Neither the Seloc or Clymer are as good as Volvo's own manual though.

Thanks Gene! Do you think the Clymer's would give ample instruction on removing both the motor and the lower unit from the boat?

The book is really not thorough enough. I will write out instructions on what you should do and send it to you. It is rather lengthly. You could also call me at 1-800-949-2189. It is so much easier to talk you through it than write it all down.

I have the Seloc...it is not what I would call impressive. Go with the factory manual.
