I have had these thoughts kreeping in my head! I only have 20 hrs on a complete rebuilt, including a trued and welded crank. I have almost $3,000.00 worth of aftermarket handeling and performance parts on it, a customized trailer, and it has been my "baby" since bought new in 99! I just got a new deck boat, and I am thinking I will not have time for both! Somebody, QUICK, slap me!

Bix,

I won't make your decision for you. However, you're not going to get anywhere near the price for the stuff you did to it. That may be an incentive to keep it.

I will not even look at something that has been-"tweaked".

Re: Sell my ski?

To be quite honest we used our jetski more after buying the boat then we did when before. Its great to put family and friends in the boat, tow the jetski, anchor up and take turns riding.

I don't know what your situation is but our boat is already in a slip so we only have to bring the jetski to the boat ramp. Soon we are building a ramp on the dock so we'll avoid towing it alltogether.

Don't sell it. My mother-in-law has a pontoon boat and my brother-in-law has a Seadoo....

The pontoon is used as the "mother ship". Go anchor in a cove or other part of the lake....everyone swims, eats, refreshments, shade, everything is right there. Seadoo is used for playing and all the kids take turns.

I just bought my wife an 04 F-12X. We will use my small whaler the same way. Anchor out and use it as the dock basically and tear it up on the Honda.

So, keep it, you'll regret selling it.

Re: Sell my ski?

we do the same thing we use the boat as a staging area and can ski swim etc even carry extra gas and get awat from all the traffic, when we camp for two weeks on an island we use the skies most of the time and use the boat as a barge to bring all the gear out and back and for a taxi after dark to bring guests to and from shore, we also load all the empty gas cans on the boat and take the boat to a gas station to fill them same for getting water, maybe have to haul 50 or more gallons a day depending on the number of people who come out, heck we even go fishing on the skies and use the boat for gear coolers etc I agree with the statement that if someone has done major mods or JUST REBUILT the engine I wont even look at it. just my opinion.
