depends... If it is a control box from another hydro-electric shift motor(1969 - 72 v4, 68 - 72 3 cyl, 71 - 72 50hp) it will work. If it was from the earlier Electric shift models 1962 - 68 V4 and 40hp models it won't
It will work, but the push button switches are different depending on which system it is. The switches look similar, but the electrical connections that they make inside are different. You can change the switch to the correct one if necessary.
