I have a calkins trailer and most of the rollers are seized. Does anyone know of a way to break them free without replacing them? They are not cracked so I would rather not replace them if I don't have to.

Spray them with a generous amount of PB Blaster...Might get them to move again.

I'm going to bet that by the time you get though screwing around with them, you'll have wished you'd just replaced them. Sometimes it's just a lot easier to face the inevitable.

I have tried Wd 40 in the past but that didnt work. Am I doing damage to the hull on my boat by launching and retreiving with seized rollers other than the black marks it leaves on the hull?

Re: Seized Rollers

Don't just spray them; Find out the real problem.

Remove the roller pin, clean up the pin and the inside of the roller as needed.
Apply a light coating of grease and reassemble.

If the roller is really shot, as long as you have it off, replace it if needed.
Either spend the time to service them or spend the money to replace them.
Do it right, and you won't have to do it again for a very long time.

or you can remove all the rollers and replace them with bunks
