I have my den decorated in antique fishing stuff, commercial nets on the walls, old creels, lures, shop signs... etc.
I have lots of carved floats, lures, and hand nets from 1870+...
I recently came across this Flatfish lure in an old wooden tackle box, it was in a cardboard Helin Tackle Co. box, but I'm not convinced it is a Helin lure.
The Flatfish has individual hooks mounted on it by screw mounts instead of the traditional gang-line hooks attached by an eyelet.
I?ve yet to see one manufactured in this fashion.
I am convinced it is factory and not a homebuilt lure though.
Has anyone seen this type before?
I?m leaning towards circa 1930-1950?s
Color: Orange and Black Leopard
3 9/16? long, with 4 individually mounted treble hooks.
Thanks
