Hi. Hope someone can help. After endless searching and much debate around the very noticeable difference between my old 150 and others…trying to find out more about it.
Very briefly, as far as I am aware, it’s had the decals changed from what it might have been originally. We think it’s maybe early 80’s in age. Has a red smaller looking flywheel…different carbs, air box (possibly reeds too) and I’m sure a different gear ratio to the usual. It’s definitely got much more mid range to top end power than any of the fair few other 150 2.0 engines I’ve had or known.
I’m thinking it’s either been messed with at some point or it’s not a normal 150 2.0.
Serial number on the freeze plug is
C858-8346
No search input I’ve tried recognises this number. Any ideas guys ? Appreciated
