Seeking help with Merc 5.7 Carter/Weber 9600 carb issue - fuel spray only from right primary nozzle
We purchased a low hour Glastron SSV 249 that had been sitting in heated storage for a couple years. I knew I would need to replace filters, pump out fuel, etc. Replaced filter and tried to start of external tank, but it would not draw fuel. Found fuel pump was really gunked up, so took it to marina to have carb cleaned. With rebuilt carb, new OEM fuel pump, new fuel filter, it was running great on hose. Took it out the first time and it ran great until we opened up to get on plane. Planed out great and ran for about a minute and fell on it's face. Basically had to idle back to the dock. Found junk in filter again, so assumed that tank was not clean. Pumped everything out of tank with electric pump, dumped filter again. Ran better, but still would not run over about 2500 rpm. Watched while the motor was running and found that fuel was spraying only from the starboard side primary nozzle. Took top off carb, and there was a lot less fuel in the port side bowl. Part of that may be that I had pumped throttle some and that is the side the accelerator pump draws from. Any thought beyond jet and/or nozzle blockage on that side (both seemed to be ok)? Needle and seat are new and seem to be working fine. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
