suggestions to keep my carb from producing varnishy gunk- in 2 months use and seemingly all of a sudden it was pretty bad in the float bowl. I have been advised to use Gumout or other additives to gas -what works well?

As Lee said ... SEAFOAM !!

For years, I was a purist who didn't believe in additives .. but then I was lead to Seafoam and I've seen, first hand, what it can do and have been a religious user ever since.

1 ounce pergalln will keep your carbs clean .. a bit more will help clean them, but Seafoam's Deep Creep is really better for cleaning.

Plus ... it keeps your gas fresh.
