Hello All,
Mariner 2.5m 1998 2.5hp
s/n OP005244
Non Shifting (Direct Drive)

Can anyone give me some advice regarding the installation of a second kill switch to be mounted on my boat console? A distance of ten feet.
Would this be fairly easy for a novice diyer?
The existing switch is situated on the front of the motor and has two wires.
black to engine earth
brown to ignition control box.
Would the best option be to cut into the existing wiring and add two wires leading to a new switch on the console and leave the original switch in place?
Regarding the extra 2 wires what guage/amperage would be suitable?
Regards, joyceboat

Use 14/16g wires and add switch to console, just tap into the existing wires leaving original switch/wiring in place.
