I've got my first boat, a new to me tracker deep v17 with a walk through windshield. Primarily a fishing boat, but we'll possibly cruise around with another couple occasionally. Trying to come up with something like bow seats. There is no cushioning on the front deck or in front of the consoles like on a typical bowrider but I would like to recreate that type of seating. At some point I may have a cushion made custom for the bow, but until then, any ideas? I was thinking a couple padded camp/stadium chairs like the attachment. Or I guess even a couple deck chair cushions could work. Anything else?

throwable PFD cushions have always worked for me. If you get cushions made, get them removeable.

Re: seats in bow/fishing platform

If that fishing deck is raised, you are advised NOT to have folks sitting up there when at speed. Hitting a wave can pitch them overboard. Bow Riders sit much lower up front so that's not an issue. There are lots of pedestal mounted seats available with a wide variety of bases. If you insist on doing this, just cut off the pedestal to whatever height you want. Seating will not be comfortable up there except possibly for kids. Long legs and short seats are not comfortable. Your local water authority may not like whatever setup you come up with.
