How'd, just wondering if anyone can tell me how to get the seats out of my
2004 Bayliner 175 XT, they are the one's that fold in the middle to become a bed all be it not very comfortable.
I'm selling the boat and need to get one them repaired.
See picture for type of seat.

Re: Seat Removal

I think there is an access panel on the base. At least that's how mine are.

Re: Seat Removal

Here's how mine work (my seats are similar to yours): Partially reclining the seat gives access to the mounting hardware. There is a metal rod attached the bottom of each seat bottom that runs in the tracks routed into the seat base. Remove the nuts and bolts that attach the rods, and the seats are free from the base.

Re: Seat Removal

You have the exact seats that my 2005 has - You don't have to remove any screws or nuts. Pick up the base of the seat to slide it and look for the slot in the base that allows the bar to come out. There will be one towards the front and back of the lounger base. No tools required, just lifts out.

Even with my 89 they lifted out of the bases the same way, but instead of molded plastic bottoms on the seats they had wood with some hardware screwed into them.
