seat for 1990 Waverunner III

Just got a 1990 waverunner III and the seat is shot including the foam I have found a seat on ebay for a 1995 waverunner III and it looks the same. Will the seat fit my 1990 or can I buy the foam and just recover the old one

From your local upholsterer...

If you buy the foam, make sure you buy a direct replacement bun from the factory. I haven't priced it yet, but I'm willing to bet it's at least $100.

If you take it to an upholstery shop to recover it, it's another $100-$125.

The seat may look the same, but the mounting may be different. Best bet is to call the dealership and have them cross reference years for you. No charge.

I suggest you check with Dunnavants.com in NE Birmingham. He is a large PWC shop, and has a very large salvage yard. Dunnavant usually gets something like $100 for his very good factory seats.
