Does anyone know anything about "electric" tilt / trim?
The boat is a 1970 Aristo Craft. it does not tilt with hydraulic cylinders. It has a gear and electric motor. It was working, then it stopped. Trying to locate someone who has knowledge of this type "older" systems. Send pics tomorrow.

It would help if you told what the heck you're trying to tilt. I have an idea, but I don't guess on Saturdays.

What is the only thing in 1970 that tilted with a gear driven outboard? Sorry no questions on Sat...lol
I am tilting the propellor out of the water for loading and unloading. It is an outboard setup. old OMC stuff.

Most likely an OMC stringer outdrive with the sector tilt and front mount trim

I didn't say no questions on Saturday. I said no guessing.

How about a photo?

Outboard or sterndrive? I don't know any outboards that were tilted by a quadrant gear. I think everyone is sniffing an OMC Stringer.

In which case the first suspect would be the tilt motor.

Welcome aboard.
