I have a old Elgin (which runs great) I think it was made in the 60's and sold by Sears. I would like to know the manufacturer and year it was made....model number is: >574.60090<
I am also looking for info about what lubrication to use on lower unit, and how to add it.

EDIT: Sorry, no buying or selling in the forums. Try the Thrifties or the Want Ads.

I also am looking for the plastic covers... 1)the one that covers the entire top of the motor and 2)the small piece in the front.
Pleasde e-mail me.....
Thanks

Hi Kmandvr
The #574 notes that your motor was made by McCulloch. I can't seem to find your exact mod# on my list. My list ends at 1965. Your motor may be later than that. Could you double check your #s? Can you turn the 90 into a 70?

Thanks for your answer....
I checked the number again....IT IS: 574.60090, not 70. I found it in an old outboard book I have and yes....it is made by McCulloch. You are right there. Any chance on finding a plastic top or service manual for it?
Thanks
