So I bought Simpsons Sears 2.hp.
571. 59241

Can you help me for Information about this outboard motor. I should like to find pictures of it original design , manual repair or anithing else..

1961-62, Air cooled motor. Made by West Bend which later became Chrysler, which later became Force, last owned by Mercury, now extinct.

One of the few air-cooled outboards that are worth a hoot.

Hey, I thought I just got done complimenting it. No, it is not an Evinrude Lightwin, but for what it is, it isn't bad.

Cute little motor.These are a dedicated factory design not the cobbled up Eska/clinton motors.Air cooled power head and the leg is water cooled by water pushed up a tube below the antivent plate by prop wash.2hp @ 4,000 rpm,3.76 cu in.compression 60 psi.Champion H10J or AC 45L plug set at .030,points set @ .020.MD59A tillotson carb.16:1 fuel mix.use TCW3 rated oil.
Standard outboard Gear lube in the gearcase.
You watch ebay for after market ser.manual for outboards below 30 hp.
also try the library, 2 of my manuals are discarded library books.

So I started today the restauration. Some GASKETS are failed, I found sand in gaz tank, and the propeller is made with FIBERGLASS... ??? It is original ? I sould like to find aluminium propeller...

I Needind a picture from this motor, because I want to paint it by original design. He has been painted everywhere with white paint.... I don't like it, for instance...

I'm jsut waiting news from you, thanks again..

As far as gaskets you will probably have to make your own.You might try the Antique Outboard Motor Club at www.aomci.org someone should have info
and possibly pictures.You may want to watch ebay for pictures and parts/parts motors etc.Also try langs outboards.

So, I repaired motor ignition system, it was not making fire, but now it makes
So I broke a screw in Flywheel/crinkshaft and I dont knot how to pull out it... L0oll
