Can someone help me out with a question?

Does anyone know what fuel/mix to use for a very old Sears 5hp model 217-58991 outboard? A partial sticker on the top indicates some SAE 30 or 40,...but I don't have the specifics. Also, do any of you have a recommendation for where to get that oil to mix?

Thanks,

Josh

The fuel mix for your '71 Eska built outboard should be 24:1 using oil for an air-cooled 2-stroke engine (like chainsaw engine oil), rather than SAE 30.
You'll find your engine looks a lot like a Techumseh 5hp made around the same time.
PS - 16:1 was required for '70 and previous engines.
