searching for dist. cap - '62 merc 70hp

i would like to replace the dist. cap on my '62 Merc 70hp - 6cyl. the motor works - ok, but the cap is quite corroded at the contacts. any suggestions on locating a cap? have searched the net but few places have a cap that old.<br /><br /> any idea who manufactured the original cap?<br /><br />thanks...

do you have a part number off the old cap?

the part number on the cap is 393-1927. a search on the net indicates the complete number is 393-1927A9.<br /><br /> this is a two-coil ignition cap.<br /><br />thanks again.
