I have an 89 searay 180 with a 135hp "searay" engine. My question is there anybody out there that can tell me who actually built this motor. I've been told either mercury or force but can't confirm this information. I have a carburetor leaking fuel when the engine is started and need to know how to fix this.

Re: SEARAY 135

that's what I think also, but without a manual for this engine I'm hesitant about working on it.

Re: SEARAY 135

Your engine was absolutely built by Mercury Marine. You should be able to go to any Mercury dealer for parts. Just give the serial no from that engine and they should be able to look parts up. If You need a manual, a Mercury manual will be the same info.
