sealing an OMC 400 upper

Is there as seal kit that works for sealing an OMC 400 upper? I'm sure there is but a good amount of people on these boards say it's near impossible. Don't really want to spend a fortune on lube by changing it all the time, never mind rebuild that antique.

There's a seal kit but you still have to keep your eye on the oil. The beast will leak, and the cost of a real fix is way more than the drive is worth.<br /><br />So change the oil often.

Keith, I think the problem I was having was ignition. I took the cap off the other day on the water and scraped the contacts as they were a bit dirty. I had already changed the plugs. The boat then skipped all over the place. I replaced the cap today and hope to test it on the water tomorrow.<br /><br />Thanks for the link.-Jeff
