Sealing a RV roof??

Any one out there know how to sael an OLD rv roof. Im gutting the inside and revamping it. looking up at metal roff from underneeth its not holes i can see. What could i use on the roof. Is there a roll on/ brush on heavy paint made for this? Or would roof tar work?? what do Yall think?

There are products made for exactly that. Used it on a leaky roll roofed shed once. Memory is failing me, but as I recall it was called elastomeric roof sealer.

Like very heavy paint that you roll on or brush on. Dries to a roughly 20mil thick, elastic film.

I've used a product call CoolSeal. Works very well and not expensive.

Based on experience w/ old RV's call a local roofer that does rubber roofs, only way to go

You're on the right track. Here's a link to a product we had used on a Minnie Winnie a few years back that sprung a leak after installing a roof vent.

This stuff worked great.

I used Kool-Seal on my new to me 1972 Starcraft popup this year and it worked great. Very easy to apply, just use a roller.
