seahorse 18 new impeller and still no water squirting

It worked for about 5 min now nothing. just took apart and fine any other places to check for plugged or broken.<br />model fd-12 58 18 seahorse.<br /><br />Thanks, <br /><br />Trying to get the old dog reliable.

Hi TenE307;<br />Take the lower unit off hook a 1/2" drill to the drive shaft while holding the lower unit under water. Turn on the drill, if it pumps water good then you will know that there is an obstruction somewhere above the pump.<br />Good Luck

That motor does not have a tell-tale or pee hole stream. <br /><br />It will though, emit some water mist along with the exhaust from the exhaust bypass.<br /><br /> Also the exhaust note will me somewhat muffled to the ear due to the water.

I have only 3/8" drill. like the idea any other way.
