seadoo question

my wife just bought waverunner today, my question is: where do you find the hin number. all i can tell you is that it says seadoo spi 580 and is yellow in color.the person she bought it from thinks it is a 1988 but not sure,any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.

on the back starboard side
the right side when looking from the back of the ski

looked on the right side and dont see anything at all anywhere for that matter,not sure if its a late 80s or early 90s. how about the serial # on the motor where would that be located. i have a boat and another wave runner and there on the starboard side like any other boat but i dont see anything on this seadoo.

LOOK AT THE TITLE

last 2 numbers are the year

it will be on the back somewhere... it will be a string of numbers stamped into a plate... look around the foot pads and on the back of the hull... as stated the last 2 number will be the year


I have a 90 SP hull at another house that I will take a look at when I get a chance to get the exact location

last 2 digits of the hull id number is the year of the ski, if it's a ,s p i, it's a 1991 only year they used the yellow engine in those

finally found the hin # on the bach with a flashlight and a magnifine glass,thanks everyone for your help. one thing i found out is i need new glasses now.
