ive been looking on the internet and there doesnt seem to be such thing as a 1988 gtx so does anyone know the first year they started makein the gtx and post pics because im tryin to figure out the year of the seadoo. incase anyone says check the owner ship the person a bought it from didnt have it and it wasnt in the computer so a hand search is required and it will take some time.

On the rear of the ski at the rear deck there will be a hull number. The 5th number from the begining will be the year. If it is a 0 it is a 2000. If it is a letter z=1999. Hope this helps. If not take a pic and post it we will figure it out.

1993 was the first year of the GTX...

the fifth digit of the hull id is a 7

Lets try it this way. On my trailor that came with the ski when it was new, has a plate on the front that says 2002. This may not be the case for everyone so take that into account. I looked on another ski that a friend has his fith digit is a 3 and it is a 2003. His 99 model has a Z in the fifth digit and that matches also. What made you think it was a 1988 did they tell you that? What pictures were close?

the thing that made me think it was a 1988 was the sticker on the back but after lookin at my friends seadoos i realized that date was on all of them and not just mine and the pictures from 1992 and 1993 are similar so ive narrowed my search down but i cant definitively tell wat year it is
