SeaDek cuts like butter and it trims very easily with a router. I used a router table for the straight cuts and outside corners and a trim router for the inside curves. I had it on a gheenoe for 2 yrs with no problems at all, very stain resistant and no lifting anywhere. Very easy on the feet and quiets your boat so you don't spook the fish as easily. If your interested in doing this yourself, message me and I can help you.

Re: Seadek

+3, well done man. I was too lazy to try self cut and certainly self routing, and also got sucked into SD faux teak, which must be done by the factory. Your fish deck came out very sharp and I'm sure is highly functional.

SD is expensive, but likely my favorite mod. Enjoy.

Re: Seadek

So it's only for cosmetic, not structural type applications. I have to admit, it looks very nice on your rig. What was the cost for your project? What was the reason to install this beyond obvious visual improvements?
Thanks for sharing your experience with it.
