Sea Worthiness of the Tahoe Q4SS

I bought a new 2008 Tahoe Q4SS back in April of 2009. It does great on the California Delta and all the lakes of Northern California. I want to take it out on the bay. I'm inclinded to think it will do fine on the bay as long as I don't try to over do it when it's windy and choppy.

My question is: Has anyone taken their Tahoe Q4 out on the bay, if so, what are your recommendations?
