Hi Again,

In 4 weeks I'l be taking a 30' twin 318s trojan for a sea trial.

Basically, I will be looking for the way the boat reacts to an increase in throttle, how the boat handles the sea, watching the TEMP GAUGE during high speed, low speeds, etc.

My question is:

Does anyone have any other things that I should be looking for? Do surveyors have a certain list that they use when they sea trial a boat?

Thanks,
Lou

If you get a full survey (structure and mechanical) you can read about everything. For your own satisfaction, take a couple hours, use every system on the boat like you will later. With your own 'gut' instinct and the surveyers report you'll know if you want it. What year and model is it?

See if there is any "sponginess" in the decks. Also watch your gauges for any abnormalities and as well as shaft vibration.

JAZZ ;)
