I am looking at purchasing a 20' center console (used) with a 200hp Johnrude. I plan to open it up and really give the engine a go, and was wondering... what is the max rpm I should see out of it (19 stainless 3-blade prop)?<br /><br />I have alread checked everything else out to this point (compression, etc) and all checks out well. Thanks!

What say gatorperk,<br />I think that engine should be all in at about 5500-5800 rpm.<br /><br />c/6<br /><br />Hooty

I don't know, what year you have, but per Johnson's web site 2000 and 2001 175's have 4500-5500 max operating range. ;)
