Sea Rayder F16 Mercury Sport Jet 120xr - jet pump oil

I'm told that I should change the Jet Pump and Stator oil once a year. The manual says I have to pull the engine before I drop the jet pump. This seems like an impossible task for someone to do in their garage.
1) Am I required to change the gear oil yearly on these items?
2) Can i change the gear oil without dropping the pump?
3) Is it true that I have to pull the engine to get the jet pump out?
4) Can I just change the oil in the stator and leave the main unit alone?
It's in a Sea Ray Rayder F16. It's a Mercury Sportjet 120xr. Thanks to anyone with any information.

I don't know who you've been talking to. Slide under the boat and look toward the front of the ride plate and you will see two screws. One is labeled drain, the other fill. Pull both and let it drain out. Once empty, pump oil into the fill hole until it comes out, then reinstall the screws.

Thanks for the response.
I see one that says "Vent" and then obviously "Fill". Is the Vent actually the drain? I'm still confused as to how I'm going to "pump" the oil in. How is it going to stay in there and not just run back out? The Vent and Fill plugs are on a horizontal plane. It seems like it would be similar to the bottom of an oil pan on a car. Once I empty it, it makes sense that I would fill it from only the top. Sorry. Maybe I'm making this more difficult than it needs to be. It's my first boat and I'm trying to learn everything at once.

Buy one quart of merc quicksilver oil , You need to get a $7 pump kit to fill it comes with adapters at walmart . The vent/ drain side had a metal baffle that must be overflowed before oil will run out of the drain / vent . Best way to do it is pull vent , pull fill start pumping when oil looks clean plug the vent , 2 pumps on the fill side remove fill hose and plug quickly .
