I hope this is correct forum????

I am interested in examining two of these boats in s Florida. The years mentioned all appear to be the same size and weight. Dry weight is about 8 grand and centerline is 28 feet. Beam is 10' 6". These come in MC I/os or tunnel V drives. I owned a 30 foot Penn Yann back in the early 90s that didn't perform well due to being under powered. Most of the Weekenders come with at least dual 5.7 or 6.2s. I suspect that these boats are slow and very inefficient but I wanted to search out forum members for first hand opinions.

Most boaters don't realize that straight and tunnel drives have a "sweet spot" as far as throttle performance. Too much and the bow plows due to the angle of thrust in the rear.

In addition, my tr-axle trailer may have the weight capacity but cross members may be in way of props.

Any feedback on these specific model and years would be greatly appreciated.
