I have a 1988 seville 18foot with a135 merc on it and the steering cylinder at the motor has a small leak, I know the helm is a bay star, but I do not see any numbers or identification on the cylinder. can anyone please tell me what the part number is, so I can order a rebuild kit for it, or the seal kit number?

A lotof those had power steering, which has it's own cylinder, right nest to the steering cylinder. If you are discussing the hydraulic steering cylinder, you might get a model number and contact Bay Star.

I am talking about the steering cylinder mounted on the front of the outboard. It does have telestar emblem on it, I thought maby it was a standard part for searay boats,I have found a seal kit for a HC4645H cylinder, but how can i identify if that is what i have, This seal kit is for a couple of different cylinder numbers. The seal kit # is HP4600,I dont want to buy until i am shure it will work.

Sorry, i thought you had a Mercruiser I/O. I think a call or email with pictures to Baystar may be in order.
