I just purchsed a 94 Sea Ray Sea Rayder f14 jet boat and wanted to know If anyone out there knows what the top speed should be with a 90hrsportjet mercury engine in it. Thanks

The way to get more power and more speed is to get a bigger motor.<br /><br />Sad but true. Whatever hidden ponys you'd be able to find inside the 90 would never get out at a fair cost or effort.<br /><br />Make sure it performs as good as possible and be happy with that.

I aggree, no sense in throwing big money for minimal gains out of a 90!

The speed and performance I get is great I was just wanting to get just a little more out of it.Like 50mph Thanks for the comments.

I have a 1996 searaider hull. (the motor was stolen). I am considering putting a 120hp motor in the boat. Do I need to change the impeller!!
