hello everyone .new to this forum ,im looking at a 87sea ray boat to buy but donnt know anything about boats .is there a site online where you can check the hin .donnt want to buy a stolen boat . thanks .

If you don't know anything about boats, why are you buying one?
The person selling the boat should have proper documentation for the boat . . . (Tiltle, current registration, etc) If the person selling it does not, then there is no proof that the person owns the boat and there is no reason for you to buy it.
Since the records are state-by-state, I do not believe there is a single place to look on line regarding stolen boats. There is a boat history web site
http://www.boathistoryreport.com , but I would doubt that it has comprehensive information.
