Sea Nymph age by serial number ???

Anyone know if the year the boat was made in the serial number on a sea nymph?

The serial number is SEAB8923M78J.

I am wondering if it is 1978 by the "78" in the serial number.

It is a 14B model which would be the Super Cartopper that started production in 1974 and it seems to be from the 70's just by guessing from its appearance.

Wondering if anyone can confirm my guess
