sea king

I have a sea king motor that I know very little about. The numbers on the motor are gg (gc?) 9021A 55x595768. What year is this thing and wat Hp and wat is the proper oil mix. At the moment I am using abot 32/1. thanks in advance for the info.

1956 12Hp made by Gale. 32:1 is probably what I'd run too.

OMC called for 24:1 in your engine, sharkboy.

The 32:1 would probably be okay and save you a few cents but I am inclined to do what the maker recommends.

I'm inclined to agree with JB.In fact I have to wonder if that power head wasn't intended to run at 16:1.
I don't think 24:1 will hurt with todays more refined TCW3 rated oils.
