Sea King possible 3 h.p.

I have an old Sea King outboard, model number 74GG9005A and serial #83122. I would like help identifying the year of this motor. We believe it is older than the obvious "74" in the model number. Also would like to know the exact horsepower, if it is identifiable from those numbers. Does anyone know a site where I might check the value of this old little motor. Mine runs great! Thank you.

1947 3 hp. just reverse the first numbers. Value depends on a number of things.Who is buying who is selling and all important the condition,completeness etc.
These are fairly common and folks like to collect them because they are easy to handle.
A good way to check prices is ebay.
