I just sold two 3 1/2 hp clintons/wards sea kings, the connector clipped over a cast housing and the end of the fitting unscrewed inside was a rubber washer similar to a faucet washer infact so much so when I got the motors I could not find the right parts either so I took a faucet washer and slowly made it smaller by sanding it on a piece of sand paper til it fit. worked for a couple of years without leaking gas.
