I just got an old sea king 7 hp, it is air cooled, has a in or out of gear selector, and the throttle is a lever on the front. Does anyone have a pic of the throttle linkage? I'm missing a linkage rod or a spring between the throttle lever and the carb butterfly. Thanks for any help. Mike

I have a sevice manual for sea king coded XTV Clinton J- series. I don't know if the throttle set up is the same as K- series or not.

I emailed you some scans, let me know if for some reason they don't come through.

Thank you, the throttle makes sense now. Got the carb all cleaned out and when it quits raining I'll take it outside and see if it will run.

If it is like mine you will want to put it in barrel or something. The engine itself is air cooled, but the lower unit has a water pump and pumps water up to the top of the shaft, and cools the lower unit.
