Sea Horse motor question

Recently purchased a sea horse motor, serial #1857848, Model JW-15 (I believe it's 2 h.p.) Would like to know what year the motor is, so I can purchase the correct tune-up/repair manual. Also, do I use 50:l oil ratio? RonsOlds@aol.com

Cust.... You have a 1959 3hp Johnson. Use a 24/1 mixture (1qt 50/1 oil to 6gal gas). Octane rating of 87 will be fine.
