Re: sea foam

Seafoam is a gas additive so just read the directions and mix with your gas mix.
In your case seafoam might not be the solution to your problem, it sounds like a carb. related problem(idle adjustment, carb. cleaning) Try the seafoam and see how the motor idles.

Its worth a shot, but Sea-Foam is not the be all end all of carb problems.

If it works, great, if not, you're going to have to open up those carbs and get your hands dirty.

Re: sea foam

Sea Foam doesn't do a thing for cleaning carbs. It is for decarbonizing the internals of a motor.

Do you advise against running a tank with some B-12 through your motor? Maybe I've imagined it but I've always thought my 59 Evinrude trolled better after running B-12 through it about once a year.

I agree with wilde1j as far as cleaning the carburetors. If you want to clean the carburetors you will need to remove them and use your cleaner full strength. You should try not to run IPA or Naptha on your rubber gasoline fuel lines in strong solution.
