I have a 95 Sea Doo Bombardier GTX. I have had it in the shop for repair, but they can't find nothing wrong. It starts very hard cold, but once warmed up it starts good. I had it started last week, first time, started right off, put new spark plugs in. Tried starting it last night, and could not get it started, any suggestions on what might be wrong?

Re: Sea Doo Jet Ski

it's a 720 with dual carbs 85 hp model, first thing I do is loose the sea doo fuel lines as they dissolve and gum up the carbs, next I bypass the fuel selector switch and go directly to the reserve pick up in the fuel tank, as those are worthless after a few years and clog up restricting the fuel to the carbs, next I totally rebuild the carbs because the internal filters are surely clogged with black gunk not to mention the diaphragms are most likely worn out . you are probably not hitting top speed either because it is running lean . I also clean the screen in the filter under the hood and add a second in line filter after the factory filter to help keep garbage out of the carbs.

and if all that sounds like too much work then just start it on the trailer before putting it in the water by spraying some start fluid in the little hole in top of the air box, the hole has a round rubber plug in it, just pull it out spray reinstall it and crakn it up. it isn't going to solve your problem but it will start.

You can also install a primer kit that will help with hard starting. Check out Overton's...
