I have a 1995 162 sportfish and I'm trying to find the anti siphon valve, If it has one. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: scout boats

Is it not located on the top of the fuel tank? Having said that, I don't know how I would access the top of the tank on mine. I haven't checked to see if there is enough clearance through the rear access port under the floor.

Email Scout boats. They have been real helpful the few times I have had specific questions for them. Try their site at Scoutboats dot com.

Re: scout boats

access the top of your fuel tank, you'll see a 90 degree fitting with a hose coming off it, that nipple is the anti siphon, it's threaded into the tank fitting, put a wrench on the tank fitting and one on the anti-siphon to loosen or you could break the fitting. Inside the anti-siphon should be a ball and spring, are you having fuel issues?

Re: scout boats

Primer bulb is sucking in after about 5-10 at full throttle. Boat sat for several years.I pumped out the old gas and replaced with fresh gas, then added stablizer. I cleaned out the carbs/jets and vent. Replaced the primer bulb and fuel separator.I figure the only thing left is the fuel pick up and the anti siphon valve. The only access door I see is in front of the center console. When I pulled the lid the only thing I saw was the float for the fuel gauge. I also looked inside the center console but didn't see anything.

Re: scout boats

Only 2 years late but just joined. My 162SF had same issues. After going through the major effort of taking off the console and the floor plate, found no anti-siphon valve. Finally found a repair shop that told me true. On the 162, since the engine is mounted sitting higher than the tank, Scout did not put these valves on that model. I have a 90 Johnson on mine and it turned out that a fuel inlet plate, part of the throttle body, had partially sealed on high speed side. This was located just before entering the carbs. After a major cleanout, it is just a great running rig.
