2 of my stepsons brought me these motors to see if I could get them running. <br />I know the outboard wizards here can tell me what year these motors were manufactured.<br />Thanks.

Kent,Having trouble finding Scott number Need model number.<br /> My reference runs from 46 to 59. Model numbers like 473 3 digit numbers to 51.Four digit on most from 52 to 59.Dont have 60 numbers.61 low prifile<br />number is 61300610 Have manuals 61,62,63 numbers are 8 digit.<br /> Sea king is a 54,As you may know was built by<br />Gale devision of OMC. Parts from similar E/J will fit.Mix is 24:1 use tsw3 rated oil.Motor uses bushings so dont mess with any less oil.<br /> NAPA may have some parts under E/J applications.

oil rating should read tcw3 sorry for any confusion or laughter.

Thanks Spike.<br />The Scott is a model which was made after McCulloch bought Scott-Atwater. I'll have to look for more numbers but that was the only one I have seen so far.<br />I thought the SeaKing looked like an old OMC motor. I am a little more familiar with OMC products so that one should be a little easier for me to repair.

Just a followup. I contacted the Scottguy through rodge's link and he was able to I.D. the motor as a 1960 model.<br />I have the throttle repaired now and am ready to<br />give it the tank test.<br />Thanks for the great assistance.<br />You folks are my lifeline on these old outboards.
