Schematic please help !!!!

I have a 1985 115 hp evinrude, with the trim motor mounted to the side of the motor, and one piston in the middle…(I think the arco part# is 6216) The trim motor was weak so I took it apart to see if it was something simple, and a wire fell out as I disassembled the motor. The problem is that I have no idea where it goes and I want to try to fix it ! When I took it apart I noticed the fluid was leaking into the motor assembly, so I replaced the seals. I just don’t understand the way this type of circuit works. There seems to be some kind of switch (looks like a point) inside with the brushes.

The set of points inside the motor is a thermo overload switch.
