I just spent 30 mins on the phone w/ progressive.......the guy finally admitted that even though I pay them 171 a year (20 ft bayliner) that if my boat sinks at the dock due to a manufacturer defect (ie. I have an I/O and I hear the bellows usually crack and boats sink) there is NO coverage for that.
Then I asked about mooring my boat out in the middle of the long island sound. He said that if I went and tied the boat to a mooring and a storm came in, swamped the boat and it sank.....it would be covered under "water damage"...he also said that if the boat was hit by lightning and it sank, I'd be covered, no matter where I am.
hmmmmm.
So I'm not really clear on how covered I am, I just know that if the bellows or ANYTHING else breaks and allows water into my boat while in the slip, I'm screwed.
Are you covered? if so, who is your company?
