Saw a prop numbered K1268 today

Looked at a SS three blade prop today that had a broze ring at the exhaust end. The only number I could find was K1268 stamped in the barrel. Anyone know what this might fit?

that sounds like a stamp from a prop shop that worked on it.

That won't help me much but thank you then. I don't think I've ever seen a SS prop with the brass ring on the back end so if anyone knows who might have built a prop like that maybe that would help too.

i had a johnson v4 with a stainless prop that had bronze diffuser ring on it.
No idea what its meant to do though .

Also seen a few old mercury's with this type of prop as well.

ive got a suzuki prop at the moment with k1113 on it , its a 10 1/4 x 12 inch pitch 3 blade made in japan.
so maybe the k number stamp means japan ??????
