I am the new owner of a 1980 San Juan 7.7. For the life of me, I cannot find the specs for the standing rigging tensions, particularly the shrouds. If there are any San Juan owners out there, or any sailboat owners in general, who might be able to help it would be greatly appreciated!

A general design rule of thumb for shroud tension is 1/4 to 1/3 of the breaking strength of the wire. Measure the diameter of the wire, using the largest diameter, and look up the breaking strength. Should give you a ballpark figure. Also, try to find a class association on the web.
