saltwater fishing

i just bought a boat and i am looking for a good place for me and my family to fish saltwater in south mississippi any place inshore do not want to go off shore thanks for any help

We don't seem to have a lot of activity in this forum for saltwater guys..lots of freshwater stuff here..have you looked for any local forums??

Having fished MS a few times and FL almost everyday, they are quite simular in the catch. Redfish, spotted seatrout, and black drum can be found in the flats and sometimes the deeper waters depending on water temp. The old standby for bait would be live shrimp below a popping bobber using light tackle. They are biting here in between 3' and 6' of water. My bait is rigged 18 to 24 inches below the bobber in these depths.....Good Luck!
