Not sure if my fluid is low or something is going out on me....

When I throttle up on my 01" Tohatsu 40D my motor squats on me quite a bit, It goes down with the pressure from the prop and when I power down it goes back to where it was before....Also makes some squeaking noise when I use the trim while up on plane....

Is this a problem with my trim motor going out or is my fluid low?...Is there anyway to check to see if its full without spraying myself in the face with fluid?......Appreciate any info.....Warren

Might be low fluid or it might be a leaking seal in the ram or pump.

Thanks for the reply Guru, good to see you still here. Don't have the funds to take it in. I need a manual pretty bad. Can you P.M. me?....Thanks

I don't use PM here....I prefer to keep things public as others can benefit from the warnings/advice/lectures. Feel free to email me if you don't want something in the public domain.

Any Tohatsu dealer can help you with the manual.
